The Tonight Show's Triumph The Insult Comic Dog was everywhere at Bonnaroo '09 -- backstage, onstage, Tent City, the Discotheque Arcade, Scratch DJ Academy. We saw the puppet hound duet with animal rights activist Neko Case ("Do any of those dogs that you rescue get to watch you shower?") on Sunday and Bruce Springsteen the night before. But the most hilarious stuff happened behind the scenes, with Robert Smigel laying his Borscht Belt shtick on TV On The Radio, Beastie Boys, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and other festival acts. The zings bite even though we've heard many before, but I'll only spoil one... Triumph to TVOTR: "Please describe your music, and keep in mind that 'crap' is already taken by the Decemberists."
